Gamification report
| The gamification report is a high level report about reaching the expectations and getting a feedback about the work you make. |
|---|
The gamification report need to be switched on. If you can't find the report, contact the JC360 support at the support@jobctrl.com e-mail address, and have them switch on the report and the message sending.
General information
The gamification report is client based, its appears in the desktop client in its own tab:
The expectations appears in the form of KPIs and attainable tiers.
The tiers represents a limits, and there are 4 of them according to the profiles:
Tier 0 - Below the minimum value of the profile
Tier 1 - Above the minimum but below the expected value of the profile
Tier 2 - Above the expected but below the maximum value of the profile
Tier 3 - Above the maximum value of the profile
The report is historical, because the expectations can change, but that doesn't have to do anything with the work somebody done in the past
The tiers have default names (Tier 0 - Rookie, Tier 1 - Beginner, Tier 2 - Intermediate, Tier 3 - Pro), but you can modify them one-by-one (details in the configuration).
The data refreshes every day, its about the past 10 workdays within the past 2 weeks (by default). The data is generated every time the user have a minimum of 5 workdays in the period (if the user was on holiday/sickleave for more than 5 days, the data won't be generated until he works 5 or more days within the last 2 weeks, checked again every day), but theese number (the period and the minimum number of workdays to generate data) can be modified as well (more in the configuration).
The tiers have a visual version and they can be modified one-by-one but the default ones are theese:

In the end, you will be classified to a tier what is based on the given tiers of the KPIs you are expected to make
In the client it looks like this:
Configuration
The report can work by default, but to be precise, it needs to be configured, because it relies on the profile settings of the company. After you created the expectations via profile you can use the report, it will generate data every day, but if you want to configure the tiers/images/etc… , you have to download the configuration file (or create one, if the report wasn't used). To create the configuration file, you have to run the report at least once, if the gamification report is turned on, you can use this link (you have to log in to your JC360 account). After you run the report manually (or waited a day to run automatically at night), you can download the configuration file from here. In this page you can see the custom datasources:
From the dropdown menu select the gamification configuration file and click on download. The downloaded file will have a sheet called Data. This is where the data is stored, you don't have to do anything with that sheet. Create a new sheet with the name of Configuration and create the necessary cells:
In this example I changed the name of the tiers, overwrited the pictures and changed the period to 3 weeks (21 days) and the minimum of worked days within the given period to 8 days.
Feedback of the gamification report
The gamification report is in the client for everyone (after it switched on), and can be seen anytime. But every day after the first “switch to green”, the gamification report sends you a message about the changes you made (if you made any) and gives you a feedback about:
- What is you current tier with the given tier's name (this is the overall tier what is based on the earned tier of the individual KPIs)
- If you made a jump from a tier to another tier (with custom messages if its upgrade or downgrade)
- If you are close to a tier jump (with custom messages if its upgrade or downgrade)
- If you are making good progress from day to day
